Animals have always been a big part of my life. I've been owned by five wonderfully opinionated cats over the years, and have been lucky enough to have owned four amazing horses. My passion for photography started a year after my first horse unexpectedly died. After he died, I spent a lot of time looking through photos of our time together, and realized that while I had many 'snapshots', I didn't have a single quality photograph that really embodied his spirit. This started my passion for photography, and for capturing the special bond that exists between animals and their humans. Each animal has their own unique personality, and I strive to showcase that personality through quality photography, providing you with a life-time of memories.
I graduated from the University of Toronto with an HBSc in Forensic Science, specializing in Anthropology. During my time there, I worked on the school newspaper as the assistant photo editor. I've been a horse owner for over fifteen years, with experience in both the Western and English worlds. I've also been lucky enough to be able to spend the last few summers training and working with young horses, as well as working as a groom at Spruce Meadows a few years ago during a couple of the big summer tournaments. I also enjoy volunteering with the MEOW Foundation, doing much of their Cat-a-logue photography.
